>> WELCOME FROM OUR HEAD

Jennifer Vidler-Ironmonger

Welcome to Saxon Way Primary School, a proud member of the Griffin Schools Trust. I am extremely proud to be the Head of a School full of conscientious, ambitious pupils in the heart of Gillingham.

At Saxon Way, we believe that there is no limit to what our pupils can achieve and demonstrate this with our motto of ā€˜Contribute, Flourish, Succeed.ā€™ We pride ourselves on teaching the core skills of reading, writing and maths to a high academic standard and provide our pupils with the skills and knowledge to become life-long learners.

Our bespoke curriculum promotes curiosity and encourages enquiry through a wealth of first-hand experiences; whether they be within our expansive school grounds or through carefully curated trips and visitors. Our school ethos is based on 6 values: Independence, Resilience, Responsibility, Kindness, Relationships and Excellence. These values prepare our pupils to be successful citizens and find their place in the world. We are proud of the rich and diverse cultures within our community and encourage our pupils to understand the world around them.

We place relationships and wellbeing at the heart of our school and ensure that our pupils feel happy, safe and have a sense of belonging. We build relationships with our parents and the community based on mutual trust and respect. We pride ourselves on the focused support we can offer families through our very own Wellbeing Centre.

We offer an ambitious range of opportunities through our exciting extra-curricular activities. Working in partnership with our collegiate schools, Lordswood and Kingfisher Primary School, we have developed an inspiring and creative curriculum. The foundation of all Griffin Schools is built on three pillars: proud traditions, wide horizons and high achievement. Griffin Arts Festival, Sport Festival and Science Symposium are proud annual traditions which inspire our community and raise aspirations for all of our pupils.

We warmly encourage you to visit us and see the wonderful, vibrant and exciting opportunities that Saxon Way can offer your child. We look forward to meeting you soon.

“Saxon Way is a school where we instil high aspirations and provide our pupils with the skills and knowledge to become life-long learners”
