Children in Need – Friday 13th November

Dear Saxon Way Families,

Children in Need – Friday 13th November

This year,  we have had to pull together more than ever and we want to recognise and show our gratitude for the hard work of our key workers who have continued to support our country in the most difficult of times.  Therefore, the theme this year for our school is ‘Key Workers’.    On this day, children are invited to dress up as their favourite key workers to celebrate their hard work.   Please don’t feel the need to go out and buy anything new. There are many Key worker roles so hopefully there will be something that children will be happy to wear.  Pupils are also invited to wear Pudsey Bear dress up if they prefer!

In class, our fundraising for Children in Need will look a little different.  We will be continuing with our proud tradition of holding our ‘Bake off’ bake sale with proceeds going to Children in Need.  However, we will be following COVID safety procedures and baking and selling cakes made within our own year group hubs.  The cakes will follow the theme for Key Workers/Pudsey Bear and the most creative ideas will be shared between year groups and a class winner democratically decided by all classes voting for their favourite bake.

Kind regards,

Saxon Way Primary
